Second Semester. Designed to explore the role of sport in today’s society. The class will focus on sport as a social institution as well as a microcosm of society. Sport and its relationship to culture, race, gender, socialization and education will all be studied and discussed. Evaluation will be on discussion participation, group projects, and a paper.
