APST 312 - Class Piano Pedagogy Practicum

First and Second Semester. An opportunity for students to gain experience in teaching college-level group piano. Students will observe all class sessions of a basic-level piano class, prepare and teach a series of class segments, and become familiar with a variety of teaching methods, materials, and technologies. Required portfolios will include observation reports, text evaluations, lesson plans and assessments, and self-critiques of video-taped teaching.

Prerequisites: APST 209, APST 210.
Note: May be repeated once for credit.
Consent of instructor required.
