APST 284 - Orchestra Repertoire for Violin

First and Second Semester. Repertoire will be chosen from works most frequently encountered at orchestral auditions. Emphasis will be on bowing styles and general techniques used in orchestral playing at the professional level. An attempt will be made to coordinate the repertoire with that of the Oberlin orchestras. Two simulated orchestral auditions will be required.

P/NP or CR/NE grading.
Consent of instructor required.
