CNST 200 - Professional Development for Musicians


First and Second Semester. The purpose of this course is to introduce music students to the various aspects of designing and planning a professional career. Topics to be covered include: using the tools of the Conservatory Career Resources Center and the Career Services Center, defining careers, career research and understanding job requirements, developing promotional materials, networking, interviewing and auditioning techniques, the role of internships and summer study/jobs, and grant writing.
