With the literature of the long eighteenth century as our particular focus, we will investigate the mutually shaping relationship between the sexual and the literary. Authors and theorists to be considered include Plato, Shakespeare, Milton, Richardson, Wordsworth, Freud, Foucault, and Sedgwick. British, Diversity, 1700-1900. Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisite: See headnote above. Enrollment Limit: 30. Mr. Kelleher Credits: 4 hours |
