PHIL 340 - Seminar: Art and Ethics

First Semester. This course critically engages with a recent philosophical debate concerning the ethical dimensions of art. Key questions to be considered include, Can art provide ethical insight? Does the moral value of an art work affect its aesthetic value? and, Is proper aesthetic appreciation removed from ethical concerns? Prerequisite: 3 hours in philosophy. (V)
