BIOL 319 - Molecular Genetics of Plant Development and its Evolution3NS New Course Added 10/15/2006 Second Semester. This course will cover genetic and molecular mechanisms that regulate the development of flowering plants. Topics will include the function and development of embryos, roots, leaves, meristems, and flowers, with special emphasis on the latest research in model organisms. For some of these organs, we will take an evolutionary perspective, comparing their development in different plant families. Changes that have occurred during the domestication of crop plants will be discussed as well. Mr. Jenik |
