RELG 273 - Ethics in Islam: Historical and Theoretical Perspectives3HU, CD New Course Added 10/24/2006 This course examines the formation of Muslim philosophical and religious ethics as expounded by Muslim philosophers, theologians, jurists, exegetes and ethicists. The course deals with the Qur’anic and various other sources of moral systems in Islam, the resulting development of rational and traditional religious thoughts and their practical ramifications for moral theories and everyday life.
