An opportunity to consider major currents and counter-currents in English poetry from 1630 to 1939. In addition to love, death and the changing of the seasons, topics will include form, disorder, time, war, dream, intimacy, violence, reparation, alienation, reflection, the senses, and human and non-human life. Nature of Text. British, Pre-1700 OR 1700-1900 (not both). Enrollment Limit: 30.
