FYSP 138 - ClassSemester Offered: First Semester Credits (Range): 4 Hours Attribute: 4 SS, Wri Class is not part of our national conversation the way identities—gender, race, ethnicity, nation—are. Yet it involves at least as much exploitation, oppression and inequality. We lift (and explain) this veil. We ask what class is, utilizing anthropological, economic, historical, political, psychological and sociological perspectives. We analyze cases from various locales and moments. Finally, students produce research papers honing in on an aspect of class that interests them. Enrollment Limit: 14. Instructor: M. Blecher |
