GEOL 310 - Sedimentary Rocks in Thin SectionSemester Offered: Second Semester Credits (Range): 1 Hour Attribute: 1 NS Sedimentary deposits provide most of the energy, water, and mineral resources used by humans and are the principal archive of Earth and life history. This course is a hands-on introduction to the wealth of information one can extract from sandstones, limestones, etc. about these subjects by making simple observations with a polarizing microscope.
