ECON 317 - Industrial OrganizationThis course may also count for the major in (consult the program or department major requirements) : Law and Society Semester Offered: First Semester Credits (Range): 3 hours Attribute: 3SS, QP-H Analysis of the modern theory and empirical evidence about the organization of firms and industries, why firms and industries take on particular forms, and what is the impact of that organization on performance. Specific topics include mergers and acquisitions, strategic pricing policies, advertising, joint ventures, research and development, and antitrust and governmental regulation.
