CSCI 151 - Principles of Computer Science IISemester Offered: First Semester, Second Semester Credits (Range): 4 hours Attribute: 4 NS, QP-F This course builds upon the principles introduced in CSCI 150 and provides a general background for further study in Computer Science. The course will cover object-oriented programming concepts; the design and implementation of data structures (linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, heaps,hash tables and graphs) and related algorithmic techniques (searching, sorting, recursion); and algorithm analysis. Students will be expected to complete a number of programming projects illustrating the concepts presented. Enrollment Limit: 60 Instructor: B. Kuperman Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisite: CSCI 150 or consent of the instructor. Notes: Students considering a computer science major are strongly encouraged to take either CSCI 150-151 or CSCI 140-150 in their first year. A lab is required with this course: 151-02 or 151-03. |
