Semester Offered: Second Semester Credits (Range): 4 Hours Attribute:4 HU, WR, CD James Joyce wrote mainly in English but drew great inspiration from French writers: Dujardin, Laforgue, Balzac, Flaubert, Verlaine, and many more. This course examines both the influence of French authors on Joyce and of Joyce on subsequent French literary culture. Taught in English with extra sessions in French.
