FYSP 094 undertakes a close reading of Karl Marx's Das Kapital. This classic of political economy, sociology, history and indeed literature is worth reading at any time for what it can teach us about capitalism and also about the dialectics. Since Das Kapital is a theory of the crisis tendencies of capitalism, it may be all the more pertinent now that existing economic models and theories have failed.
