RUSS 446 - Senior Seminar: The Russian Novel

In this capstone course for Russian majors and advanced students of Russian, we will read and analyze one major Russian novel, exploring its literary and stylistic richness, its historical and cultural context, and its adaptations in film. Students will design and work on an independent research projects leading to a substantial final paper. The spring 2014 seminar will be on Tolstoy's Anna Karenina. Taught in Russian and English. Prerequisite & Notes: Russian 411 or consent of the instructor.
