Translations into American English of poetry from classical to modern and contemporary writers. First half of the term will focus on readings in translation theory, with related exercises. During the second half, students will work on their own translation projects.

Prerequisites & Notes
Consent of the instructor. It is suggested that students have between 2-4 semesters of language study or the equivalent (experience in bilingual environments, study abroad, etc.) Admission is based on a completed application (available on the CrWr website) and writing sample. These are due in the Program Office by the last day of class at 12 noon.
