Synapses, the spaces between neurons, are critical for brain cells or neurons to communicate with each other. Through neuronal communication our thoughts, dreams and desires arise. This course will explore how neurons shape who we are or our concept of self. In turn we will also explore the concepts of self and identity from both psychosocial and philosophical perspectives.
