ENGL 190 - Percival Everett: Sampling Dialogic Contemporary Fiction(s)

New course added 10.21.13.

Percival Everett, with over twenty published books, is one of America's most prolific contemporary novelists. His work is sometimes controversial in that it "speaks back" to expectations of him as an African American author. This course will focus on four works, including interviews and critical essays, in order to register some of Everett's multivalent literary styles and discourses. The half course is preparation for a visit by the author during second module. American, CD, Post-1900.
