ECON 095 - Financial Practice Across the Spectrum

This 8-week module course introduces Oberlin students to the core concepts of finance and their application throughout the economy—whether in government or in business, whether in the nonprofit sector or in enterprises operated for profit.    A key goal is to expose students to the employment opportunities that exist across a wide variety of industries (e.g., banks and financial services, health care, arts administration) and across types of institutions. Toward this end, most of the classes will feature distinguished guests—many of them Oberlin graduates—who will discuss the application of key aspects of finance within their industry.
