ENGL 324 - Six Poets: 1945-PresentSemester Offered: Second Semester Full Course Credits: 4 credits Attribute: 4HU, WINT This course will pay close attention to poetry's efforts to find new forms and modes of expression in a world overshadowed by unthinkable acts and unspeakable experience. How have lyric poets undertaken to employ their art to give voice to what appears to be, by definition, unutterable? Lowell, Bishop, Plath, Heaney, Ashbery, Graham. American, Post-1900.
