RUSS 226 - Synaesthetic UtopiasSemester Offered: Second Semester Full Course Credits: 4 credits Attribute: 4HU, CD An introduction to Russian Modernism across the arts through the creative experience of synaesthesia: the blending of sensory modalities. Mystically and technologically enhanced, the mixed senses inspired the innovations of Russia's avant-garde poets, composers, and visual artists, as they promised the fulfillment of the Russian aesthetic, erotic, and social utopias of transfiguration and revolution.
