BIOL 087 - Crops and climate: Biology for a sustainable worldSemester Offered: Second Semester Full Course Credits: 4 Credits Attribute: 4NS, WINT How might climate change and other environmental issues affect our ability to produce enough food for our growing population? This non-majors course introduces the fundamentals of biology while focusing on aspects of food, nutrition and the social and environmental challenges associated with feeding the world. Does not count toward the Biology major; students considering a biology major or upper-level biology courses should take the BIOL core. Lectures will be augmented with hands-on activities. Enrollment Limit: 20 Instructor: M. Laskowski Prerequisites & Notes Students who have passed FYS165, 197, 199 or BIOL 100 are not eligible for this course. |
