The genetics, physiology, health, and evolution of the human animal and the impact of humans on the biosphere. Topics may include such considerations as reproduction, exercise physiology, infectious disease, allergies, immunity, genetically modified foods, and global warming. Ethical, legal, and economic concerns with scientific advances will also be considered. Students will normally be expected to maintain a personal program of aerobic exercise in conjunction with this course. (Students who earn credit for this course may count two hours of the credit toward the Biology major.)
