A survey of Marxist theory from Marx and Engels to the present. After discussing Hegel, the heart of the course is in-depth study of Marx and Engels. We proceed next to leading Marxist thinkers and political activists of the early 20th century: Bernstein, Luxemburg, Kautsky, Lenin and Gramsci.
