An examination of psychological research relevant to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease and illness. Topics will include stress and illness; personality factors and health; psychoneuroimmunology; psychological factors in health maintenance; pain and stress management; health and gender, ethnicity, and race; treatment compliance and communication. Enrollment Limit: 35. Instructor: K. Sutton Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisite: PSYC 100. PSYC 200 or an equivalent is recommended.
