In this class students will develop skills in working with text and images, as well as various modes of inquiry such as problem-posing, conceptualizing, and critical thinking. By working with type, image, color, found images and materials, and computer-generated and hand-drawn images, students will develop an understanding of the design process and learn design fundamentals. Topics will focus on the cultural, social, technological aspects of design and the role of the designer in raising awareness and stimulating thought. Enrollment Limit: 10. Instructor: A. Ozkal-Telhan
