CINE 399 - Cinema Studies Practicum in Media Literacy And Pedagogy Semester Offered: Second Semester Credits (Range): 1-3 hours Attribute: 1-3HU This workshop is the cornerstone of the new Cinema Studies Media Literacy Outreach Initiative. Working with Cinema Studies faculty and local educators, students will examine teaching models from theorists like Emilia, Montessori, Steiner; study innovative media collectives such as the Jacob Burns Media Arts Lab, the Chiapas Media Project, Valencia 826, the local ArtzReach; and create a media literacy curriculum for the Media Literacy Outreach Initiative.
