FREN 425 - La Litterature des Caraibes francophones: Un discours post-Negritude Semester Offered: First Semester Credits (Range): 3 hours Attribute: 3HU, CD After a concise overview of the poetics of the Négritude movement, this course will examine in particular the post-colonial theoretical and literary trends that detached themselves from the Négritude movement and proposed Antillanité and Créolisation as the main constituents of the Caribbean identity. We will explore the connections between these forms of expression, as well as the intellectual, esthetic and linguistic legacies that enabled the production of these narratives.
