ARTS 349 - The Art of the High Renaissance and Mannerism Semester Offered: Second Semester Credits (Range): 3 hours Attribute: 3HU This course will focus on painting, sculpture, and architecture produced in Europe during the sixteenth century. While taking account of the contribution of individuals such as Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Titian, we will also consider the art of this period within the broader context of historical, social, and scientific developments. We will conclude with an examination of the art of the next generation, the style known today as Mannerism. Enrollment Limit: 30 Instructor: C. Neilson
