Overview of visual arts research and bibliography for the periods, cultures and media taught at Oberlin. Web and print resources will be introduced within the context of actual research practices and specific information needs. Various approaches to visual arts research (ex: iconography, object, artist, movement) will be explore as will art publication types, database structure and effective searching.
