In this advanced studio class, students will be introduced to the fundamental demands of acting and directing for the camera. Weekly on-camera assignments will focus on the differences between stage and film/video work. The course will also cover the basic mechanics of traditional narrative film, including visual story-telling, shooting scripts, staging for the camera, story boards, continuity style and running a shoot. Students will collaborate on class assignments, each in turn, serving as actors, directors, or camera/sound operators. Enrollment Limit: 12 Instructor: P.
