PHYS 310 - Classical Mechanics Semester Offered: Second Semester Full Course Credits: 4 hours Attribute: 4NS, QFR
A more in-depth study of Newtonian mechanics of particles and systems. Topics include Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulations, oscillator systems, central force motion, rigid body motion, and noninertial reference frames. We will also make use of computational methods to solve for equations of motion. Enrollment Limit: 20 Instructor: J. Stalnaker Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisites: PHYS 212 and MATH 234.
