POLT 272 - The Elections of 2014 Semester Offered: First Semester Full Course Credits: 4 Credits Attribute: 4SS, WINT
This class will focus on the 2014 Congressional and gubernatorial elections as we explore current trends and developments in American electoral politics. Topics will include voter turnout, voter preferences, money and advertising, and the roles of the President, political parties, and the media, among others. Students will follow actively certain campaigns and elections and then will analyze and evaluate results. Several writing assignments, at least one group project, and active engagement with the 2014 elections will be expected. Enrollment Limit: 40 Instructor: M. Krislov
