POLT 901 - OCEAN: American Government Semester Offered: Summer 2014 Credits: 2-4 Credits This course provides an advanced overview of American government with an emphasis on current political controversies and debates. Students will consider and discuss issues such as the timelessness of the constitution, the effectiveness of the legislative process, the role of the media in politics, the conduct of campaigns and elections, and the rationality of public opinion and voting behavior.
