Climate change and other 21st century environmental problems have created new urban challenges, from resilience to transformative decarbonization. Emerging urban environmental politics run the gamut from green gentrification to radical Right to the City movements. Urban political ecology, as a developing body of critical theory and approaches, offers an important window into these processes. In this course, we will undertake close readings within this scholarly literature and its antecedents and pursue analytical writing and discussion. Enrollment Limit: 25 Instructor: S.
