APST 340 - Continuo Accompanying Next Offered: Fall Semester Semester Offered: First Semester HC Credits: 2 Credits Attribute: CNDP
This course allows historical keyboardists to gain practical experience in accompanying instruments (both modern and historical) and voices. Assignments will be made based on repertoire requests submitted by the applied faculty, or by their students. Students are also encouraged to make arrangements to accompany specific projects, subject to the instructor’s approval. Accompanying projects will be supervised by the instrumental/vocal teacher and the course instructor. Three hours of weekly contact time are expected, including weekly master classes with the instructor, rehearsals, lessons, and coachings, but not including individual practice time.
