FYSP 114 - Know Your Place: Civic Humanism and Community Engagement Semester Offered: First Semester Full Course Credits: 4 credits Attribute: 4SS, WINT
Through readings, history, reflection, and engagement with the surrounding community, students will learn about pressing regional challenges (such as economic inequality, food insecurity) as well as efforts toward and possibilities for enacting meaningful change (such as Sanctuary Cities). Students will develop individualized action plans for ongoing engagement with the community based on issues that they have identified as meaningful to them over the course of the semester.
