What do we mean when we talk about work? What about laziness? Do we have a right to either? To both? When we want to express our commitment to an activity, we often imagine it as productive, as work. Conversely, activities not conceptualized as such seem inconsequential. Why? What do theologians, poets, psychologists, philosophers, economists, and Rihanna mean when they talk about work and its opposites?
