EDUA 301 - Language Pedagogy: The Theory & Practice of Teaching and Learning Languages Semester Offered: First Semester, Second Semester Full Course Credits: 4 credits Attribute: 4HU, CD
What does it mean to know a language? And how do you teach languages effectively? Encouraging students to look at language in new and revealing ways, this course provides an introduction to the field of applied linguistics and language pedagogy. The course includes a practicum in which students work as teachers or tutors in the language(s) of their competency, including English. Spanish-speaking students who are selected will work in SITES. No prerequisites. Open to all students, regardless of linguistic background. Enrollment Limit: 35 Instructor: K.
