APST 751 - Performing the Music of India

First Semester. This course will teach a basic understanding of the melodic and rhythmic components of raga sangeet, the classical music of North India, through the performance of traditional songs and etudes in Indian solfege. Instrumental music will be incorporated to the extent possible.
