ARTS 043 - Visual Concepts and Processes: Mixed Media Drawing/Painting

First Semester. This course will facilitate exploration of materials in both traditional and experimental systems. Emphasis will be placed on large-scale drawings, but not limited to this venue. Increased technical proficiency with a variety of media and increased understanding of each student’s individual expression will serve as two basic goals for the course. Students will develop both critical thinking and technical drawing skills, and will be given opportunities to explore collage, contemporary concepts, paint, and model building.
