Admission to both the College of Arts and Sciences division and to the Conservatory of Music division of Oberlin College and Conservatory is competitive and selective, and based on a student’s prior achievement as well as future promise. Oberlin has separate application processes for the College of Arts and Sciences and the Conservatory of Music. Students interested in the Double Degree Program, leading to both the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Music degrees, must submit two separate applications. Enrolling students are required to submit a $300 matriculation deposit.

Oberlin is a highly selective liberal arts college. The admissions committee evaluates applications using a holistic review process to get a sense of a student’s academic qualifications as well as what a student is like as a person and what they will contribute to the Oberlin community. Our goal is to assemble an incoming class that represents a variety of talents, viewpoints, and achievements.
