The Lambda Delta chapter of Alpha Alpha Alpha, established in the fall of 2024, recognizes the academic achievements of first-generation college students. Tri-Alpha inductees must be a current baccalaureate candidate at Oberlin, have completed at least two full-time undergraduate terms of study (as defined by the Academic Advising Resource Center, at least one of which must have been at the institution at Oberlin), have completed at least 30 credit hours towards their degree with an overall undergraduate GPA of at least 3.20 in all coursework, and come from a family where neither parent (nor any legal guardians) earned a bachelor’s degree. Lambda Delta strives to provide leadership and service opportunities for first-generation students on campus.
