3HU, CD Second Semester. Entirely devoted to literary works by Francophone writers from North Africa, the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Vietnam, this course will also study the socio-historical context that gave rise to such literature. Readings will include poetry, fiction and drama from writers that express varied cultural backgrounds as well as the impact of French culture on them. Approaches to these literatures will be linguistic, thematic, and cultural.
Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisite: FREN 301 or the equivalent.
