HISP 306 - Primer Encuentro: Colloquium on Hispanic Literature, Culture and Film 3 HU, CD
First Semester. This colloquium, designed specifically for freshmen
and sophomores, explores works of literature (poetry, prose, drama),
films, and other cultural productions from the Hispanic World
(e.g. art, music, popular culture). The goal of the course
is to introduce students to the arts of Spain, Latin America and Latino
U.S., to offer various theoretical approaches to the study of Hispanic
literature and culture, and to learn how to write a good critical essay
in Spanish.
Prerequisites & Notes Offered every year.
