POLT 304 - Seminar: Topics in Political Psychology

First semester. Political psychology is an interdisciplinary field that uses theories from social and cognitive psychology to examine the world of politics. In this seminar, students will explore how human thoughts and emotions influence elite and mass political behavior in the contemporary United States. Specific topics will include: elite decision-making in a wartime context, political tolerance, identity and inter-group conflict, and political communication and persuasion.
