POLT 105 - American Government: Institutions, Policies, and Politics 4 SS, WR
This course is concerned with a fundamental issue of American political life: What should government do? In the fall of 2006, this course also will focus on the midterm congressional elections. The course relies on a Socratic method: through discussion of the New York Times, academic studies, policy cases, in-class simulations, and individual research projects, we will inductively arrive at, test, and apply fundamental principles about the nature and operation of the American political system.
