APST 830 - Mandinka Ensemble

First Semester. Beginning instruction in one of the world’s major musical traditions, the Mandinka of West Africa. Instruments are the 21-string kora (bridge harp), xylophone, drum, and voice.

Prerequisites: Prior experience on any instrument or voice preferred but not required.
