ETHN 301 - Research Methods in Ethnomusicology CD
Second Semester. This is a seminar and practicum devoted to three
topics: historical contributions to ethnomusicological research,
methods of conducting field work (both the social and technical
aspects), and laboratory methods (transcription and analysis of
recordings, song texts, field notes). Students will conduct a field
work project locally as part of the course.
Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisites: One course in ethnomusicology.
Consent of the instructor required.
